Although the use of Pan has spread throughout Southeast Asia. The composition of oil was examined for the variety Sanchi, Kapoori, Desawari, Desi Bangala, Meetha, Sagar Bangla and also other cultivars available from Vietnam, Malaysia and Thailand etc. Betel vine leaves bear varying flavour, aromatic pleasure to sharp biting pungent followed by sweetness in some cases.
